Oregon Bicycle Ride, 2006
Background
This year's Oregon Bicycle Ride offered an interesting route in southern Oregon through the Fremont Forest and east to Lakeview and beyond. Some of the route overlapped slightly with our first supported tour, Oregon Bicycle Ride 1997. The route through the Fremont Forest also overlapped with my first self-supported tour with Linda. So we were eager to join the tour this year. As always, the tour was organized by Bicycle Rides Northwest, a company based in Bend, Oregon.

* On the layover day at Lakeview Kent, Dave, and I rode the designated loop east to Adel, north to Plush, and returned to Lakeview by way of the Plush Cutoff. The three of us rode north towards Wagontire from Plush a few miles and back to attempt to make the day a century ride, but I fell a mile short and did not want to ride further once I returned to camp.
